Statement following the interim investigation report into the Airbus H160 water landing.
Omni acknowledges the publication of the interim investigation report by CENIPA on February 5, 2026 regarding the water landing involving an Omni Airbus H160 helicopter on January 2, 2026.
We are grateful that all those on board were brought home safely, and we again recognize the professionalism of the pilots and the outstanding support provided by the emergency and rescue services.
Omni continues to cooperate fully with the CENIPA investigation. In line with our commitment to highest standards of safety and transparency, we have proactively provided information relevant to the investigation and kept customers and other key stakeholders informed as appropriate based on confirmed information from the authorities.
The CENIPA interim report identifies several potentially contributory factors to the event, including procedural and human factors related to maintenance performed on the helicopter. As this is a preliminary report, the investigation remains ongoing, with no final conclusions at this time. Omni continues to support CENIPA in the analyses currently underway.
We will continue to work closely with all relevant authorities and our industry partners to ensure that any identified lessons are fully acted upon.

Omni confirms that all six passengers and two crew members involved in yesterday’s water landing of an Airbus H-160 helicopter have now been discharged from hospital following precautionary medical assessments and are all in good health.
Omni extends its sincere thanks to the Brazilian Navy for their swift and professional Search and Rescue support, as well as to all parties involved in the successful operation.
With everyone safely discharged and fully accounted for, the situation is now fully under control. Omni will continue to cooperate with the relevant authorities as part of the standard follow-up procedures. Any further updates, if applicable, will be shared through official channels based on confirmed information.

Omni Táxi Aéreo confirms that one of its aircraft (Airbus H-160), which departed from Cabo Frio Airport, conducted a water landing earlier today at approximately 11:00 a.m. (local time) on January 2. All occupants evacuated the aircraft using the onboard lifesaving equipment and, following the immediate activation of emergency response teams and the competent authorities, the company confirms that everyone was successfully rescued and is safe. No injuries were reported.
At this time, passengers and crew are undergoing routine preventive medical evaluations and are expected to be released shortly.
The safety and well-being of everyone on board remain our top priority. Omni continues to provide full support to those involved and is coordinating closely with the authorities so that the circumstances of the occurrence can be established.

OMNI Táxi Aéreo confirms that one of its aircraft departing Cabo Frio Airport conducted a water landing at approximately 11:00 (local time) today (02).
All eight occupants safely evacuated the aircraft and used the onboard inflatable life raft.
Our emergency response teams were activated immediately and rescue operations were initiated in coordination with the relevant services. The safety and wellbeing of those on board is our top priority, and we are providing support to the occupants while coordinating closely with the authorities.
We are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities as they establish the circumstances of the incident.
