Omni Táxi Aéreo and Petrobras: Four New Offshore Contracts Starting in 2024

Rio de Janeiro, September 6, 2023 – Omni Táxi Aéreo, a leader in the offshore air transportation sector, announced it had been awarded four new contracts with Petrobras. Operations are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024 and to last for four years.

These offshore contracts involve the use of four aircraft, including models AW139, AW189, and S92, and will operate from Jacarepaguá Airport, located in Rio de Janeiro. The primary objective of these contracts is passenger transport to the Santos Basin, one of the country’s most important oil exploration regions.

According to Roberto Coimbra, CEO of Omni Táxi Aéreo, these contracts reinforce the solid partnership between Omni and Petrobras, especially in offshore transportation and aeromedical rescue.

“Offshore aviation activity has grown exponentially in the past year. We had anticipated this trend and have been preparing ourselves for growth since the end of the pandemic. We have been investing in the acquisition of new aircraft, establishing long-term leasing operations with institutional partners, and continuously working on our internal processes. This allows us to be more competitive and prepared to serve the market’s major players, safely. We are focused on consolidating this position and expanding into international markets.” highlighted Coimbra.

The CEO also emphasized that Omni is working to promote innovation in other areas of the economy. “We are supporting industry´s such as the electric power transmission industry, which is growing, and the search for solutions to improve urban mobility in the country’s major capitals,” Captain Coimbra added.

Our vision extends beyond the market where we excel. We are focused on consolidating this position, expanding into international markets, and diversifying our operations.
